At the end of December 2020, the UK made a free trade deal with the European Union.
This is excellent news, however, the deal was made at the very last moment, just a few days before January 1, 2021, when the UK finally left the EU. The end of December is the time of the Christmas and New Year holidays.
As a result, shipping companies just did not have enough time to prepare for the new shipments conditions in advance. It was not clear how the customs clearance of goods would take place at the border of the UK and the EU without knowing the deal resolution.
Now that this issue has finally cleared up, it became clear how to proceed. At the moment, we are rapidly changing the software and the procedure for filling out the documents required to cross the border from the UK to the European Union. We will do our best to ensure that all these issues are resolved as soon as possible, so that we can continue with parcels shipment within a normal schedule.
